THE NOISE
You don't have the writing or communication skills needed to move up.
How I responded:
I overcame this by taking a writing class. I put myself out there more to present to others and enhance both communication and writing skills. I had a mentor that helped me with writing emails/presentations etc. and made sure not to give up.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Brought up by single parent with four siblings. Was hard for my mom to make "ends meat". I graduated from HS, had my firstborn and immediately began working. Was able to work very hard in my current organization that led me to my career.
