My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
When I was young I used to draw houses we stayed in and my mom suggested I go into architecture.
2.
I went to a liberal arts college to explore everything else I was interested in besides architecture.
3.
Then I interned in a firm doing marketing for 2 years to see what it's like to work in a firm.
4.
I got my Masters degree at a school that had an arts approach to design, related to my undergrad ed.
5.
I worked at 3 different firms to fulfill my internship.
6.
The last step was to take my exams to get my license.

THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
Architecture is so difficult and it takes so long to become and architect. Why don't you do something that would give you more immediate satisfaction?
How I responded:
It's a long path but if you are passionate and dedicated, stick with it. I kept telling myself that I would get there, even if it was taking longer than my friends and despite pressures by others to get it done faster.
