Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Myself:

People say you should not take risk and chances in life.

  • How I responded:

I didn't have much negative noise in my life, so I would say anything like this was caution and apprehension on my own part. This guided me to avoid too much risk, and stay on the careful path to success, in work and life. I say, take some risks while you are young, and you have the time to adjust and adapt to the challenges of them. This is the best way learn how to overcome and grow.

Experiences and challenges that shaped me

  • I tried to tackle things in life that scare me to gain self confidence in my weaker personal attribute, like public speaking and addressing large groups - I took a job for 3 plus years as a college instructor, which scared me to death at first.
