Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Friends:
We are amazed you are still in school.
How I responded:
Listen to your own voice. True friends will support you and the rest don't matter.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Just kept saying I wanted to do it and then found an opportunity.
Use education to stop the pattern.
I am dyslectic and just spell poorly and move along. Always use spell check even when I don't think it matters. When I can't have spell check, grin and smile through the people correcting me.
