Messages from Society in general:
Teachers don't make a lot of money. The stresses you face aren't worth the money. Kids can be a nightmare and they don't care about learning. Administration can hinder everything that you do, no matter how good of a teacher you are. You'll get burned out.
How I responded:
If you can live within your means, it's entirely manageable. The cost of supplies for the classroom can be as much or as little as you want. The kids will always change, but a large majority of the attitude depends on what you put into it. I love my kids and they make coming to work actually enjoyable everyday. The administration plays a massive role in the morale of the school, but that shouldn't hinder your desire to teach. Burn out is experienced in every field; know your limitations.
